Fine hotel for a short stay

We chose this hotel due its proximity to the main train station. However the neighbourhood is somewhat sketchy although we were reassured that it was safe. It is an older property. Apparently the main entrance was changed from the corner to a much smaller space which is too bad. It is now cramped with very limited capacity. Our room was a standard sized Comfort Inn room. The bed was very comfortable with nice soft pillows. The WiFi was dependable and fast. The bathroom was clean and modern although lighting could be improved. The shower pressure was great but the shower itself was very small. There were coffee making implements, a fridge and a safe. There were lots of plugs. The reception area needs to be improved. The reception though was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is available for an extra charge.

Highly recommend avoiding. Will be raising a complaint. - in a really unsafe area. - had our booking details wrong on arrival (dates and guests) so had to evidence the correct information from the booking app. - cancelled our room cards after one night when we were staying for 3. Lucky our stuff was still in the room. - soiled quilt as per picture. - scratched headboard. - TV isn't tuned in to any channels. - really loud outside so good luck sleeping. Can only put up with two nights here so paying to stay elsewhere for the last night.

It is what it is. It's a budget hotel in an expensive city. Clean rooms, fairly well appointed with fridge, safe etc. We had two rooms, view from one was of the back yard and nothing to note, other was on the main street. Really well located - close to main station. If you turn right out of the hotel and keep walking you end up crossing a bridge and are at the fabulous Stadel museum in about 10/15 minutes. Loads of brilliant restaurants and bars very close by, short walk (5-10 mins?) to main shopping areas. It's a perfect base but low on extras, no option to add breakfast although that's the compromise for the location. Just a note - the station district in Frankfurt does have issues with drug users/beggars etc but while it can seem unsettling, we never once felt unsafe and were happy to let our teenage sons out and about.

I booked this hotel 1 week prior and on day of arrival they were closed. No email or call, just closed! I had to spend double on another last minute hotel and now Comfort hotel won't even reimburse me! Taking this one to consumer protection court.

The hotel had all I needed. The location was 2 blocks from the main train station, with lots of shops around and walking distance from all attractions. The price was very reasonable. The room was tiny but had all I needed, was clean, had a nice bathroom, amenities, tv, even roller blinds to prevent from outside noise. The only drawback was the time I spent trying to check out, although all had been paid beforehand. The agent told me I had to wait in order to drop off the Key as he was busy with another customer, and I waited for about 15 minutes and then had to run to catch my train.
